Graphite, Digitally colored, 8" x 10". Here is the original graphite only version: [link] I'm not sure how the digital coloring adventure ended up -- but it was an adventure, and those are good, so....yeah. At least now I know it's something I know how to do.
This is taken from a still of John Quale (as Prince Poppycock) performing on America's Got Talent. If I recall correctly, he took fourth place on the show (or third I can't remember) so we got to see many performances from the Prince. However, I liked his "Figaro" solo the best.
The words at his collar mean "Figaro! (referring to himself) Ah, what a frenzy! Ah, what a crowd! One at a time, please! Hey, Figaro! I'm here."
I can't believe I haven't commented on this yet. Since the very second I saw it, I was just blown away... He's so beautiful. You have a serious talent for color, and I really like what you've done with his cravat. XD This drawing is incredible.
(And yes, he took fourth place.) XD
And did you know he's performing at the Flamingo in Las Vegas? It's enough to put me in my car headed east.
Oh! He had a performance in Vegas? Has it happened yet? If it's during the summer, I might have to take a roadtrip!
