"Lake Spirit" - an imaginary dragon-like creature at the bottom of a deep, muddy lake with rainy mountains above. Acrylic on 15 by 30 wraparound canvas.
you've asked for a critique but what is there to criticize? except where is its back legs? or does it have any? the dark pallete makes the creature pop out against the dark water like a drop of sun ,its very striking! the only other thing i could possibly think of, is that it took me a while to realize where the other front foot was-sorry, but absoulutely beautiful! although i mostly do fan comics so what would i know? but from now on im watching you! i want to see more!
Are you still watching me? ;D I appreciate your comments about the back legs, you're right in that I didn't plan it, it just kind of happened. When I plan things they are more coherent Thanks for commenting!
Thanks much for the comment. Another of my older works. It's the last painting I'd ever sell if I had to....it's very close to my heart as I consider it to be a self-portrait....that's me, in the muck, there, loving the rain, anyway.
