I create art that inspires childlike, innocent joy - the kind of joy that comes so easily to young children that can be difficult to recapture in adulthood. I wipe away the dust of ordinary, everyday existence and show the world as viewed through the eyes and imagination of a child. Colors are brighter, the power of nature is stronger, Spirit is closer to us. I use vibrant, pure watercolor washes first, representing the spiritual energy that permeates all life. Over this foundation I continue to paint or draw more detail as the subject inspires. Moved to a new state of mind by the breathtaking beauty of the world - the wandering way of a tree branch, the intense green of a new leaf, the spark of starlight, the swirl of mist rising...I hope to bring you to this beautiful place with me.
